SABRINA IONESCU'S PHOTO AT US OPEN WITH NBA STAR CAPTURES ATTENTION

New York Liberty superstar Sabrina Ionescu took a break from the court to attend the US Open in New York on Friday night with her husband, Hronnis Grassu. The couple captured attention when they posed for a photo with former NBA champion.

The Liberty, currently the top team in the WNBA with a 28-6 record, have won eight of their last ten games, with Ionescu playing a key role in their success this season.

Ionescu and her husband were there to watch the semifinal match between Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe, when they were seen taking a photo with Dallas Mavericks star, Klay Thompson.

On the season, Ionescu is averaging 19.4 points, 6.0 assists, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game. Alongside Breanna Stewart, the Liberty are the favorites to challenge the defending WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces.

Thompson, meanwhile, is entering his 14th NBA season and his first with the Dallas Mavericks after spending the bulk of his illustrious career with the Golden State Warriors.

Both Ionescu and Thompson are among the best shooters in the world, and their photo together at one of the biggest sporting events of the year sparked some serious buzz.
